For loose leaf herbs. Stainless steel. Won't strip flavor, won't rust.
Loose-leaf herbs need room to open up. Inside a tea bag, the leaves are crushed and packed too tight so the water can't move through them, and you end up with a watery cup that tastes like 60% of what the blend should taste like.
A mesh infuser ball gives the herbs space to expand. The water moves freely around every piece, the oils release, and you actually taste the formulation. This is how I drink the Cycle Support Tea (and frankly every other herbal blend I keep in the kitchen). It's the simplest piece of equipment in my routine and the one I'd replace last.

1. Open the ball with the snap hinge. Add 1 teaspoon of loose herbs (or more for larger mugs).
2. Snap shut. Lower into your mug. Hook the chain over the rim so the ball is fully submerged.
3. Pour in hot water (just off the boil for most herbs). Steep 8-10 minutes, or as the blend directs.
4. Lift out, knock the spent herbs into compost or trash, rinse the ball.
Rinse after each use. Air dry or towel dry to prevent water spots. Dishwasher safe — hand washing extends the life and keeps the mesh free of soap residue.
